Privacy Policy

The short version
CGCS does not send your drafts, voice profiles, recipient lists, or API keys to us. We run no server that receives them. Your data lives on your own computer. The one thing to understand is that CGCS works by calling AI and email providers that you choose and configure, and what you send to those providers is governed by their terms, not ours. This website separately uses a small amount of cookie-based analytics and a contact form that emails your message to us.
The CGCS application
CGCS is a desktop app that runs on your own PC. Your settings, voice profiles, and saved email templates are stored as files on that machine. Draft text you are working on is held in memory for the browser session only and is cleared when you close or reload the app. It is not written to disk.
The provider credentials you enter (AI, email, image generation, and optional cloud storage) are stored locally on your computer and are used only to make the calls you ask the app to make. We never see them.
Providers you connect
To do its job, CGCS sends data to services you pick in Settings:
- AI providers: the text you rewrite, your voice profile, and any images you upload for template design go to the model you configure. If that is Ollama or another server on your own network, it stays there. If it is OpenAI, Anthropic, OpenRouter, or another hosted endpoint, it goes to them under their terms and privacy policy.
- Email providers: when you send a campaign, the message, subject, and recipient addresses go to SendGrid, Mailgun, or Postmark, whichever you set up, so they can deliver it.
- Image generation and storage (optional): if you turn on ComfyUI, OpenRouter image generation, or cloud storage for header images, the relevant prompts or images go to the service you choose.
You are in control of which of these are used. Choosing a local model and your own infrastructure keeps your writing off third-party servers entirely.
Recipient lists
The spreadsheets you upload for campaigns are read on your computer. Their contents leave your machine only as part of the sends you choose to make through your email provider. You are responsible for having the right to contact the people on your lists.
This website
Separately from the app, this website (cgcs.c-le-b.com) uses a small set of cookies and similar technologies:
- Preference storage: we remember whether you prefer light or dark mode. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.
- Basic analytics: we use standard, privacy-respecting web analytics to see approximate traffic levels and general visitor location (city or region level, derived from IP address). We do not use this to identify individual visitors, and we do not sell or share it with advertisers.
You can block cookies and analytics entirely in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read this site or download the app.
The contact form and license requests
When you submit the contact form, including a request for a free license code, we collect the name, email address, optional organization name, and message you provide. That information is sent directly to our inbox by email so we can reply to you and, where it applies, send your license code. It is not added to a mailing list or used for anything other than answering your message.
Data we don't collect
We don't collect payment details on this site, don't build advertising profiles, don't sell or rent visitor data, and don't use third-party ad trackers. Purchases and subscriptions are handled by the Microsoft Store under Microsoft's own terms.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site or the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
